Hibachi Chef

About the role

The Hibachi Chef will create an entertaining, interactive dining experience for guests at our Paris restaurant. You will prepare and cook a variety of hibachi dishes while engaging diners with showmanship and friendly conversation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and grill meats, seafood, vegetables, and rice dishes according to recipes and safety standards.
• Craft sauces, marinades, and accompaniments for hibachi meals.
• Entertain guests with tricks such as utensil flips, egg juggling, and onion volcanoes, adapting performances to the audience.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer menu questions, and accommodate dietary requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with general kitchen duties, stock management, and shift opening/closing tasks.

Required profile

• Passion for Japanese cuisine and live cooking entertainment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Willingness to learn and develop hibachi cooking and performance techniques.
