About the role
Provide a safe, supervised educational setting for children in the Head Start/Early Head Start environment, including classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips. Encourage parent involvement and coordinate curriculum to promote school‑readiness goals and a smooth transition into kindergarten.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a successful, safe, and supervised learning environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool children.
- Implement and adapt curriculum to meet the needs of at‑risk, special‑needs, gifted, and culturally diverse children.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED with Infant/Toddler CDA credential (or Associate/Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education as required).
- Classroom teaching experience with infants/toddlers or preschool children (two years preferred).
Required skills
- Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, internet and email proficiency.
