Head of Litigation & Legal Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a senior legal leader to head Litigation & Legal Compliance for a fast‑growing global technology company based in the United States. Reporting to senior management, you will act as a strategic advisor, guiding cross‑functional teams through complex litigation, dispute resolution and regulatory compliance matters while supporting responsible growth worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute litigation strategies, oversee dispute resolution and manage external counsel relationships.
• Lead compliance programs covering anti‑corruption, export controls, data retention and other regulatory obligations.
• Partner with technology teams to improve e‑discovery systems and legal‑tech efficiency.
• Collaborate with sales, product, marketing, finance, IT, information security and HR leaders to manage legal risk.
• Create, maintain and enforce policies, processes and best practices for legal risk management.
• Manage litigation and compliance budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and vendor optimization.

Required profile

• 10+ years of combined experience in litigation, dispute resolution and legal compliance, including time in a law firm and an in‑house global organization.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal degree.
• Proven ability to operate independently, influence senior stakeholders and provide business‑focused legal advice.
• Strong communication, adaptability and business‑oriented judgment.

Required skills

• Expertise in managing complex litigation and dispute resolution.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (anti‑corruption, export controls, data retention).
• Experience with e‑discovery tools and legal technology optimization.
• Budget management and vendor negotiation skills.
