Groundskeeper for Union Tuscaloosa Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of the Union Tuscaloosa student living community. The role supports the service team and ensures that common areas, amenities and the overall curb appeal meet Greystar standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, keeping all common areas and amenities neat.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist the make‑ready specialist.
• Change all locks according to property policy and ensure pool‑area gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute notices and communications to residents as needed.
• Report any hazards or potentially dangerous situations to the appropriate supervisors.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and promptly report accidents or incidents.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to inspect, clean, and maintain common areas, removing litter, debris, and pet waste.
• Experience with lock changes and gate safety inspections.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication with residents.
• Willingness to adhere to safety policies, attend safety meetings, and complete required training.
