Graduate Assistant – Bioinformatics

About the role

The Department of Information Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is looking for a Graduate Assistant to support its Bioinformatics graduate program. This on‑campus position provides hands‑on research experience while you continue your graduate studies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist faculty members with research activities on a designated bioinformatics project.
• Collect, organize, and preprocess data for analysis.
• Conduct independent research tasks under supervision.
• Document experimental procedures and results.
• Maintain regular attendance and fulfill the required weekly hours (20 hrs for full‑time, 10 hrs for part‑time).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the Graduate School.
• Ability to work the required hours with consistent attendance.
