Data Engineer IV (COSMOS Research Center)

About the role

The Data Engineer IV will join the COSMOS Research Center at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. This full‑time provisional position is funded through a grant or contract and supports data‑driven research and decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, manage, and transform raw data into usable information for analytics.
• Develop, maintain, and improve datasets and data pipelines to enhance data quality and efficiency.
• Interpret trends and patterns, generate complex data reports, and build algorithms and prototypes.
• Lead the creation of social‑media data collection pipelines, inference methods, and classification infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and contribute to project documentation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated comprehensive data analysis skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining large‑scale datasets and pipelines.
• Ability to improve data quality and operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in interpreting data trends and producing detailed analytical reports.
