Graduate Assistant – Bioinformatics

About the role
The Department of Information Science at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock is looking for a Graduate Assistant to support its Bioinformatics graduate program. This on‑campus position provides hands‑on research experience while you continue your graduate studies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist faculty members with research activities on a designated bioinformatics project.
- Collect, organize, and preprocess data for analysis.
- Conduct independent research tasks under supervision.
- Document experimental procedures and results.
- Maintain regular attendance and fulfill the required weekly hours (20 hrs for full‑time, 10 hrs for part‑time).
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the Graduate School.
- Ability to work the required hours with consistent attendance.
