General Manager – Grand Rapids Retail Center

About the role

Tanger is seeking a General Manager to lead its Grand Rapids outlet center. The role combines independent decision‑making with collaborative teamwork in a flexible, technology‑enabled environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive property‑level NOI by increasing revenue streams and managing expenses.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans, budgets, and 5‑year capital plans to maximize asset value.
• Produce monthly financial forecasts and monitor real‑time revenue and expense positions.
• Lead local leasing initiatives, negotiate deals with retailers, and convert temporary arrangements into permanent leases.
• Maximize core profit centers such as CAM, short‑term leasing, utilities, waste handling, and marketing partnerships.
• Collaborate with regional and corporate operations to leverage portfolio‑wide service contracts for better pricing and delivery.
• Maintain a clean, well‑lit, safe, and attractive outlet center to ensure a positive shopper experience.

Required profile

• Proven ability to drive NOI and manage retail‑property financial performance.
• Strong strategic planning and budgeting experience.
• Experience in leasing, retailer relationship management, and revenue generation.
