Full-Time Security Officer - Access Management

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Access Control Officer in Wyoming, Michigan. The role serves and safeguards clients across industries such as logistics and distribution by managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials and monitoring activity so that employees, visitors and operations stay secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors and delivery drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, policies and emergency response activities when needed.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue visitor passes as directed, and keep accurate access logs and records.
• Control access for employees, contractors, vendors and vehicles according to site procedures, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to the right contacts.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, document observations and notify the appropriate people.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
