Security Officer - Identity Validation

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Identity Validation (Access Control Officer) in Wyoming, Michigan. The officer serves and safeguards clients in industries such as logistics and distribution by managing entry points, verifying credentials and monitoring access activity. The position is full time, with day shifts from midnight to 8 am on Tuesday through Saturday.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility, including verifying credentials, screening visitors and directing drivers, vendors and delivery personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor and vehicle-entry records, and issue and recover access credentials as authorized.
• Respond calmly to incidents and access-control concerns, notifying site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of entry points, loading areas, parking areas and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized access.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screen as conditions of employment, subject to applicable laws.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
