Security Officer - Visitor Registration

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer (Visitor Registration) in Wyoming, Michigan, at a logistics and distribution location. The officer monitors entry points, verifies access credentials, maintains a visible presence to deter security incidents and provides professional customer service to employees, visitors and delivery personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, and control entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors and vehicles.
• Maintain accurate access-control logs, issue and recover visitor credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying the right people.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas and the perimeter.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as required by law.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
