Front-End Developer

About the role

Ayr Wellness is seeking a Front-End Developer to design, build, and maintain user‑facing web applications that support its digital presence and internal platforms. Reporting to the Senior Director Business Applications, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and back‑end developers to deliver responsive, high‑quality interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front‑end technologies.
• Translate UI/UX designs into functional, accessible code.
• Design, develop, and manage scalable applications with the Next.js framework.
• Implement and optimise performance, SEO, and security features for Next.js sites.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Optimise applications for speed, performance, and scalability.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple environments and devices.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, peer review, testing, and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in front‑end development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with modern front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, Next.js, or Vue.js.
• Understanding of server‑side rendering, static site generation, and SEO best practices.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Attention to detail and strong problem‑solving skills.
