French Speaking Kindergarten Teacher

About the role

The French Speaking Kindergarten Teacher provides developmentally appropriate, LDOE‑aligned instruction in French, creating a nurturing environment where young learners build foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, science, social studies, and oral language through immersion.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging French immersion lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Foster growth in early literacy, numeracy, oral language, social‑emotional learning, and independence.
• Maintain a safe, structured classroom that promotes positive behavior and student engagement.
• Monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Differentiate instruction and implement accommodations, modifications, and intervention plans as assigned.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and instructional records.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress and classroom expectations.
• Collaborate with administrators, support staff, and colleagues to support student success and school initiatives.
• Supervise students during duties and school activities and write a weekly newsletter for parents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Native or near‑native fluency in French.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to obtain required clearances.
• Strong classroom management, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create a positive, engaging, developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
