Engineering Manager - Cloud

About the role

Runpod is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team building customer‑facing features for its AI cloud platform. You will own a roadmap area end‑to‑end, partnering with Product and Design to shape scope and guiding the team through architecture, execution, quality, and launch.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team delivering new functionality and iterating existing product surfaces, ensuring high‑velocity outcomes.
• Translate product strategy into technical plans, milestones, and success metrics while managing scope, risk, and timelines.
• Drive pragmatic system design for platform services, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and speed in a remote‑first environment.
• Improve automated testing, release safety, observability, and on‑call health for customer‑facing systems.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Program Management, Support, GTM, and Infrastructure teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years managing high‑performance software engineers, including roadmap delivery and team culture.
• 6+ years as a software engineer building products used by millions, with clear impact.
• Strong depth in Linux systems internals or cloud systems engineering, preferably building platform capabilities.
• Experience with remote‑first leadership, clear asynchronous communication, and stakeholder alignment.
