Document Management Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking Document Management Technicians to support its Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA/Downwinders) claims team. The role ensures that incoming materials supporting RECA claims are handled efficiently and accurately, and requires strong organizational and data entry skills.

Key responsibilities

• Scan and copy incoming materials related to claims processing.
• Enter data from paper documents into the database.
• Save and categorize scanned documents according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate tracking of document movement, including mailing and returns.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and maintain MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) facility credentials; US citizenship is required for MRPT authorization at this location.
• Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately and under pressure.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and understand the task within the wider litigation support effort.
• Initiative to ask questions when instructions are unclear or seem contrary to the task objective.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of government office and network environments, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging and telecommunications systems.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.

Required skills

• Typing: 40 words per minute touch typing preferred.
• Database and spreadsheet use.
