Director, Product Management

About the role

Runpod is seeking a Director of Product Management to own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of its AI cloud platform, including serverless endpoints, GPU instances, foundational AI services, and developer APIs. You will lead a high‑performing product and design team, partnering closely with infrastructure, engineering, and go‑to‑market leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Define long‑term product vision and short‑term roadmap for Runpod’s suite, anticipating AI/ML ecosystem needs.
• Act as the voice of the user by engaging with ML engineers, AI startups, and enterprise customers to uncover friction and validate concepts.
• Hire, mentor, and grow product managers, UI/UX designers, and technical writers, fostering a culture of high standards and rapid iteration.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering directors to ensure technical feasibility, reliability, and timely delivery.
• Work with Marketing and Sales to create pricing, packaging, and launch strategies that drive adoption and maintain margins.
• Use product analytics, churn data, and customer feedback to prioritize the backlog and maximize business impact.

Required profile

• 7+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years leading product and design teams in a hyper‑growth environment.
• Deep expertise in cloud or AI/ML domains, building SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, or developer‑facing products.
• Strong technical fluency with modern backend architectures, API design, distributed systems, and container orchestration.
• Proven record of delivering complex products that generate measurable business outcomes.
• Experience building culture and alignment across remote, distributed teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication and storytelling abilities.
