Director of Children's Ministry

About the role

Central Presbyterian Church is seeking an experienced Director of Children’s Ministry to lead and nurture children from nursery through 5th grade, supporting families in their spiritual growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise full‑time and part‑time Children’s Ministry staff and volunteers.
• Oversee and coordinate all children’s programs and events, including worship services, choirs, Mustard Seed Club, Fantastic Fridays, parent groups, sports classes, sacraments class, Vacation Bible School, and more.
• Manage the Children’s Ministry budget, annual budgeting process, and health‑and‑safety protocols.
• Implement age‑appropriate, gospel‑centered curriculum and maintain classroom resources.
• Track attendance, maintain the events calendar, and promote programs through communications.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of Children’s Ministry experience in a local church setting.
• Commitment to Reformed theology as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith.
• Ability to recruit, train, and develop student leaders and volunteers.
• Strong relational skills, confidentiality, and responsible stewardship of church resources.
