About the role

The Dental Assistant (PRN) will support an oral maxillofacial surgery clinic on Kings Hwy, providing individualized patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider. The role involves direct patient interaction, documentation, and coordination with the surgical team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the patient and provider throughout each visit, ensuring smooth workflow.
• Prepare the patient and provider for procedures, including room setup and equipment readiness.
• Answer patient questions, provide clear explanations, and ensure satisfaction before discharge.
• Communicate effectively with patients both in person and over the phone.
• Complete accurate documentation, including patient registration and clinical notes.
• Maintain clinical knowledge and credentials through ongoing professional development.
• Adapt communication style to respect patient privacy and cultural preferences.
• Perform additional related duties as required by the clinic.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal medical assistant training preferred.
• Experience handling confidential information and thriving in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong clinical knowledge and proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
