Crop Claims Specialist / Field Adjuster I (Kentucky)

About the role

Zurich’s Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) is seeking a Crop Claims Specialist or Claims Crop Field Adjuster I to support farmers and ranchers across Kentucky. The role can be performed remotely while residing within 50 miles of the listed counties.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise judgment to determine liability, policy verification, and coverage for crop insurance claims.
• Participate in Risk Management Agency reviews and referrals to ensure operational integrity and quality assurance.
• Maintain confidentiality of claims information and protect Zurich’s reputation.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• For Field Adjuster: minimum 6 months agricultural experience; for Specialist: 4+ years in agriculture or crop insurance.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable personal transportation for travel within the assigned territory.

Required skills

• Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
