About the role

Varsity Tutors is seeking experienced Conversational French tutors to join its Live Learning Platform. You will work remotely, providing one‑on‑one online sessions that help adult learners, travelers, and professionals develop practical spoken French skills.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct live, interactive tutoring sessions focused on everyday French conversation, pronunciation, and cultural etiquette.
• Use role‑play scenarios, authentic audio, and thematic topics to build confidence in real‑world communication.
• Adapt lesson plans to each student’s needs, addressing speaking anxiety, rapid native speech, and formal vs. informal registers.
• Leverage the AI‑powered Tutor Copilot for real‑time instructional support and lesson generation.

Required profile

• Deep mastery of practical French vocabulary, conversational grammar, and pronunciation.
• Proven ability to teach spoken French through dialogue practice and role‑play.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, friendly teaching style.
• Experience helping adult learners, travelers, or professionals improve spoken French.

Required skills

• Fluency in French (native or near‑native proficiency).
