Operational Excellence and Training Lead

About the role

The Operational Excellence and Training Lead will shape long‑term operational capabilities by designing and executing a unified learning and competency strategy. Reporting to the CORE OS Leader, this fully remote position drives continuous improvement, skill alignment and organizational resilience across a global nuclear energy company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full training lifecycle: needs assessment, planning, scheduling, delivery and evaluation.
• Maintain a centralized training calendar covering onboarding, refreshers and role‑based development.
• Design and standardise training materials using modern methods such as micro‑learning and digital modules.
• Develop and maintain competency matrices linked to training paths and certifications.
• Conduct quarterly skills‑gap analyses and advise on up‑skilling or cross‑skilling initiatives.
• Manage communications for process, policy and system changes, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Create user‑friendly change materials and facilitate educational sessions.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, coach internal trainers and recognise learning achievements.
• Facilitate cross‑team workshops applying root‑cause analysis tools and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Establish problem‑solving standards and documentation practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; supply‑chain or business degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar operational excellence, training or learning‑development role.
