Controller – Finance & Accounting Leader

About the role

Our client, a luxury consumer goods company, is seeking a Controller to provide strategic and hands‑on accounting leadership as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily cash flow, including transfers, funding needs, and working‑capital management.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, and daily payroll duties.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries and accruals.
• Perform and supervise bank, credit‑card, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Produce financial reports, cash‑flow statements, dashboards, and key performance indicators.
• Build financial models, forecasts, and cash‑flow projections.
• Prepare budget‑vs‑actual analyses, variance reporting, and related insights.
• Oversee inventory valuation and ensure alignment between financial and operational data.
• Manage onboarding of payroll and benefits for new employees.
• Supervise company health benefits, 401(k), and retirement accounts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA preferred.
• 8‑10 years of accounting experience, including team management.
• Strong experience with AP/AR, journal entries, and cash‑flow management.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range of $165,000‑$190,000 per year.
