About the role
The Community Assistant supports the property management team at Union Tuscaloosa, a student‑living community, by handling administrative, leasing, and resident‑service tasks. This onsite position ensures smooth day‑to‑day operations and helps achieve occupancy and retention goals.
Key responsibilities
- Perform office administration such as copying, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling calls, and organizing rent payments.
- Assist sales and leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, give property tours, and show apartments.
- Generate lease paperwork, organize lease files, and support move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory work dates.
- Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments, and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
- Coordinate resident events, distribute flyers, newsletters, surveys, and late notices.
- Serve as an after‑hours liaison, respond to emergencies, and cover at least one on‑call shift per week.
Required profile
- Willingness to work mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
- Ability to respond quickly and courteously to resident inquiries.
- Strong organizational skills for handling paperwork and scheduling.
