About the role
Enerstaff is hiring a CNC Lathe Machinist in Houston, Texas, working on site in the Machinist department. The shift runs Monday to Friday from 5am to 1:30pm with no weekends, and start is as soon as possible. Pay is $28-$32 depending on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Operate a 120" Fryer Combo Lathe with Siemens conversational controls.
- Machine 4140 and 4150 chromium alloy steel components, including large parts from 1" diameter x 30" long to 6" diameter x 12" long.
- Load programs, set up machines, make adjustments and edit programs as needed.
- Read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Required profile
- 3-5 years of CNC lathe experience.
- Self-directed, detail-oriented and able to learn independently through computer-based training.
- Effective communication with team members and leadership.
- Preferred: experience with CNC programming, compressor and reciprocating equipment parts, piston rods and shafts; programming training is available.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
