About the role

San Juan Diego Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated Long‑Term Substitute Teacher to fill a classroom for an extended period. This full‑time, on‑site position involves delivering instruction, planning lessons, and supporting student learning in a Catholic educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the school’s mission.
• Plan and deliver instruction using logically sequenced objectives aligned with the adopted curriculum.
• Provide appropriate materials and resources to engage students.
• Utilize effective instructional methods and varied assessment tools for both formative and summative evaluation.
• Maintain accurate records and practice consistent, positive classroom discipline.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic, behavioral, and safety matters.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure students stay on track.

Required profile

• Knowledge of basic Catholic Church teachings.
• Understanding of subject matter, instructional methods, curriculum differentiation, and child development.
