Child Care Assistant Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a part-time Child Care Assistant Teacher to join BrightPath Kids in New York. You will work alongside certified teachers to create a safe, nurturing environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children throughout the day.
• Assist lead teachers with classroom instruction and activity planning.
• Help set up and decorate classroom spaces as needed.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming environment that supports exploration and learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children’s progress.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer-service orientation and ability to multitask.
• Reliability and ability to work during regular operating hours.
• Eligibility to meet state child-care employment criteria.

Required skills

• Proficiency in written and oral English.
