As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Ochsner Health you will administer anesthesia for surgical, obstetrical and other pain‑producing procedures under physician supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Document patient procedures and incidents.
• Assess patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Ensure patient safety by following accepted anesthesia techniques.
• Act as liaison to surgeons, anesthesiologists, co‑workers, patients, and families.
• Participate in department quality‑assurance initiatives and professional development.
• Adapt communication and behavior to meet the needs of diverse patient populations.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an AANA‑accredited nurse‑anesthesia program.
• License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
• Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 24/7, weekends, holidays, and on‑call availability.
