About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care in the operating room/surgery setting at Ochsner Health in Slidell, Louisiana. The RN will lead care delivery using the nursing process, delegate to team members, and ensure quality outcomes while respecting cultural diversity.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the OR.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to diverse needs.
Participate in unit and departmental strategic initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations.

Required profile

Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
RN diploma required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
No prior work experience required.
