Associate Chemist – Application Lab

About the role

Join Chemetall/BASF as an Associate Chemist in the Application Lab, supporting customers and the sales force with technical expertise. Working under the supervision of a Team Leader, you will conduct routine laboratory tests and provide product recommendations for a variety of applications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory evaluations of customers’ technical service jobs.
• Process project requests from customers and the field sales force.
• Select and recommend appropriate Chemetall/BASF products for specific applications.
• Develop optimum operating parameters for the products.
• Provide technical advice and troubleshooting assistance to sales teams, field engineers, and customers on‑site.
• Prepare and deliver reports on lab results and field visits.
• Maintain technical service worksheets for each project and keep supervisors informed of status.
• Ensure a safe work environment and comply with health and safety policies.
• Maintain laboratory equipment according to quality standards and monitor inventory levels.
