Assistant General Manager - Rental Facility

About the role

EquipmentShare is hiring an Assistant General Manager for its rental facility in Lima, OH. The role supports the General Manager in running the branch efficiently, covering procurement, vendor relations, compliance, safety and training, and reviewing financial performance. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain healthy vendor relationships, including service, delivery and office supplies.
• Complete invoice review and maintenance, and procure items needed for daily operations.
• Maintain DOT compliance records and conduct weekly inventory audits of parts and assets.
• Implement and maintain safety policies, hold weekly safety meetings and ensure all employees are trained on equipment.
• Assist the General Manager in maximizing branch performance and review monthly profit and loss statements.
• Monitor metrics such as equipment utilization, underperforming assets, warranty recovery, billed mechanical hours, aged receivables and customer satisfaction.
• Enforce standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations.

Required profile

• At least 3-4 years of rental industry experience, preferably in a management role.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, adaptable to a fast pace.
• Able to sit at a desk for long periods and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
