Assistant Field Geologist

About the role

Join ConeTec as an Assistant Field Geologist and support field operations across diverse geotechnical projects. You will work side‑by‑side with field operators and engineers, gaining hands‑on experience with drilling rigs, sampling systems and geophysical instruments.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate drilling equipment, cone penetrometers, sampling and geophysical instruments following company procedures.
• Assist with mobilization and demobilization of equipment in remote or hard‑to‑access sites.
• Perform routine maintenance on all field equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide timely assistance to engineers and technicians during testing and data collection.
• Support health and safety practices by preparing safe operating procedures and reporting incidents.

Required profile

• Strong desire to learn and develop technical skills in geotechnical field work.
• Energetic work ethic and willingness to work in outdoor, physically demanding environments.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and work collaboratively with a team.

Required skills

• Operation of drilling equipment.
• Use of cone penetrometers.
• Handling of geophysical and in‑situ testing instruments.
• Basic equipment maintenance.
