Assembly Team Lead – 1st Shift

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Assembly Team Lead for the first shift at our Fort Lauderdale facility. Reporting to the Area Supervisor, you will guide a team of 10‑15 associates, ensure quality standards, and drive efficiency on the assembly line.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Area Supervisor to plan and prioritize daily assembly activities.
• Act as trainer and mentor for new hires and cross‑training initiatives, mastering all departmental processes.
• Apply Business Process Standards (BPS) and lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to meet production schedules.
• Read and interpret work instructions, product drawings, and special handling sheets.
• Use manual and power tools, as well as measuring devices, to assemble appliances and perform functional tests.
• Inspect finished products, identify defects, and manage non‑conforming materials.
• Rework units as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Promote a safe and organized work environment through proper material handling.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Manufacturing experience in assembly; CNC machine operation is a plus.
• Ability to coordinate tasks for a team of 10‑15 people.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Willingness to work overtime and assist in other departments when needed.
• Capability to follow work instructions, safety, and quality procedures.
