Area Manager

About the role

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates in a fast‑paced fulfillment environment. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, attendance and performance while meeting customer delivery expectations across first‑mile, middle‑mile and last‑mile operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support, mentor and motivate hourly workforce during shifts.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity and on‑time customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance and Human Resources to develop plans that meet business objectives.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 lb, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, standing or walking up to 12 hours per shift, and navigating variable temperature and noise environments.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 + years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Valid and active USA state driver’s license.
