Senior Air & Ocean Specialist

About the role

The Senior Air & Ocean Specialist will coordinate documentation, customs clearance, and freight delivery for import shipments. Working closely with forwarders and internal teams, the role ensures shipments comply with US regulations and meet customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑level customer service for import air and ocean shipments.
• Coordinate documentation, customs advances, and entry summary preparation.
• Work daily with freight forwarders, ensure proof of delivery (POD) is supplied, and handle expediting and tracing as needed.
• Determine profit levels, prepare billing, and process required customs paperwork.
• Develop, implement, and maintain department processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant import logistics experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 15 lb and perform occasional bending, squatting, or reaching.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with MS Office.
