Analytical Chemistry Intern

About the role

Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. is seeking a Research and Development (Analytical Chemistry) Intern to work on projects related to food science and analytical chemistry. The intern will conduct laboratory analyses, design experiments, and present findings at the end of the internship.

Key responsibilities

• Characterize samples through basic analyses such as brix, acidity, and pH.
• Perform HPLC analysis of sugars and other components.
• Conduct pesticide analysis using GC‑MS and LC‑MS/MS.
• Execute forensic analysis of samples.
• Design experiments and analyze data.
• Prepare and present project results.

Required profile

• Current Master’s or PhD student in Food Science, Food Chemistry, Chemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques and experimental design.
• Experience with GC, LC and/or column chromatography/fractionation.
• Project‑oriented with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
