Adjunct Nail Technician Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Savannah Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Nail Technician Instructor to deliver state‑approved cosmetology and nail technician curricula. This part‑time position involves classroom and laboratory instruction, student assessment, and program support.

Key responsibilities

• Teach the approved Cosmetology and/or Nail Technician curriculum using current instructional materials.
• Foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings and evaluate student progress.
• Maintain documentation, administrative reports, and ensure safety and security in instructional spaces.
• Assist with student retention, graduate placement, and maintain relationships with industry partners.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of a Nail Technician and/or Master Cosmetology program from an accredited institute.
• Active Georgia Master Cosmetologist and/or Nail Technician license in good standing.
• At least three years of full‑time paid work experience in the past seven years.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and Saturdays.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cosmetology and nail technician curricula and instructional techniques.
• Ability to assess student performance and record learning outcomes.
• Understanding of safety and sanitation standards in a lab environment.
