Utility Operator – Birmingham Service Division

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Utility Operator to join our Birmingham Service Division. The role involves cleaning, stripping, and painting AC/DC motor parts throughout the repair process while adhering to safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Clean internal and external motor components such as frames, cores, armatures, gears, and housings.
• Operate cleaning equipment (steam cleaners, parts washers, sand‑blasters) and specialized repair equipment (dip tanks, VPI systems, burnout and bake‑out ovens).
• Handle material moving equipment like fork trucks and cranes to deliver or store motors and parts.
• Paint repaired and assembled motors before shipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow all safety protocols.

Required profile

• Ability to perform stripping operations on AC/DC motor parts.
• Proficiency with material handling equipment (fork trucks, cranes).
• Consistent adherence to documented procedures and safety guidelines.
• Capability to operate hand tools safely and effectively.
