Tax Supervisor – Public Accounting (Remote, US)

About the role

An established CPA firm seeks a Tax Supervisor to lead the technical review of client work. This senior position ensures accuracy before client delivery and can be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve client financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries prepared by other team members.
• Sign off on individual and business tax returns prior to filing.
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in staff‑prepared work.
• Serve as the final technical checkpoint across the accounting/tax workflow.
• Provide guidance and technical feedback to staff accountants and communicate directly with clients on complex matters.

Required profile

• 5+ years of public accounting or tax experience, including review‑level work.
• CPA license required or near completion.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong command of U.S. GAAP and individual and business tax law.
• Experience reviewing work of others, preferably remote or offshore teams.
