Software Engineering Manager

About the role

The Software Engineering Manager leads a team of engineers delivering Warehouse Control System (WCS) solutions for customer projects. This role blends people leadership, engineering management, and project portfolio oversight to ensure successful delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop software engineers through performance management, mentorship, and succession planning.
• Manage engineering staffing, resource allocation, and capacity planning across multiple concurrent customer projects.
• Partner with project managers, account management, and solution development to ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Serve as senior escalation point for customer concerns, technical risks, and resource conflicts, maintaining strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience in industrial automation, warehouse execution/control systems, or material handling.
• 3+ years of people management or technical leadership experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balance priorities, and communicate effectively with customers.

Required skills

• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or related industrial automation software.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and best practices for software delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Technical leadership in solution architecture reviews, risk assessment, and issue resolution.
