Software Engineer – Privacy‑Focused Mobile Carrier

About the role

Cape is building America’s most private and secure mobile carrier from the ground up. As a Software Engineer you will help create a resilient, global connectivity platform that puts security and privacy first, protecting users from legacy telecom threats.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a best‑in‑class signaling firewall to detect and mitigate malicious signaling attacks.
• Develop detection mechanisms for fake base‑stations (cell‑site simulators) and spam/smishing campaigns.
• Build transparent alerting systems that notify users when they are targeted by hackers or nation‑state actors.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate privacy‑by‑design features across the communications stack.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the carrier’s security architecture and overall reliability.
