Communications Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Communications Construction Supervisor works closely with Project Managers to ensure construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications. This position oversees field crews, subcontractors, and coordinates all aspects of communications infrastructure construction.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify the quality of work on construction sites, correcting issues as needed.
• Provide direction to staff, manage hiring, training, discipline, and overall supervision.
• Coordinate construction plans with crews and subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
• Maintain complete project paperwork and communicate progress to management.
• Serve as liaison between the company, customers, and utility providers.
• Order, track, and manage construction materials and equipment.
• Lay out and design construction maps, and interpret existing plans.
• Identify unsafe or hazardous conditions and enforce safety policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience as a communications construction supervisor.
• Valid driver’s license with at least two years of clean driving experience.
• Ability to pass background, motor‑vehicle, and drug screenings.
• Strong customer‑relation and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and attitude at all times.
• Self‑motivated, able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Capable of working independently and handling multiple tasks.
