Quality Technician – 2nd Shift

About the role

The Quality Technician works the second shift to ensure that molded products meet customer expectations for quality and safety. The role involves daily inspections, functional testing, documentation, and collaboration with production teams to resolve quality issues.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform daily quality control inspections, functional tests, and document results.
• Create batch records and labels based on the production schedule.
• Review and approve completed batch records, including positive release and first‑good‑part approval.
• Verify line‑clearance activities and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist plant personnel with measurements, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of daily quality issues.
• Conduct Gage R&R studies and qualification tests when required.
• Provide detailed daily quality reports and maintain organized work areas.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedural documents.
• Strong written communication for routine correspondence.
• Capability to speak effectively with customers and coworkers across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Outlook.
• Experience with measurement techniques and analysis.
• Knowledge of Gage R&R methodology.
• Familiarity with Hazard Materials Regulations (49 CFR Part 172).
