Production Supervisor – 2nd Shift Assembly Operations

About the role

As a First Line Manager on the 2nd shift, you will lead the Assembly Operations within the VM Value Stream at Bosch’s Charleston plant. You will be responsible for daily execution, continuous improvement, and achieving production targets while empowering your team and applying lean methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead 2nd‑shift Assembly Operations across the VM Value Stream (ESP).
• Identify and drive projects that improve safety, cost, quality, delivery and utilization.
• Perform process confirmation on work standards and correct deviations.
• Train and develop skilled and semi‑skilled associates.
• Monitor daily performance using MES and analytics tools to meet targets and drive continuous improvement.
• Apply and sustain lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream.
• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans, including process flow diagrams, PQIs and standard work instructions.
• Support performance and career development of all team members.
• Promote a customer‑focused team environment and complete additional assignments as directed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree with 1‑3 years of technical or leadership experience (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Experience in high‑volume/technology manufacturing, preferably automotive.
• Familiarity with MES systems (e.g., Promaster), SAP and data‑visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing systems and concepts (BPS).
• Project leadership skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet targets.
• Self‑initiative and ability to work on cross‑functional teams.
