Repair Engineer

About the role

The Repair Engineer is a technical, customer‑facing professional responsible for creating and executing repair solutions for engineered‑to‑order turbomachinery. The role ensures equipment reliability, availability, and efficiency while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop work instructions, repair shop routers, inspection packages, and quality plans.
• Provide engineering assessments and disposition guidelines for compromised equipment, coordinating with experts to define accurate repair strategies.
• Collaborate with production supervisors and leads to ensure specifications and procedures are followed throughout each project phase.
• Support resolution of customer technical issues, delivering effective solutions within schedule requirements.
• Contribute to digitalisation initiatives, such as 3‑D scanning and digital inspection programs, to improve shop operations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain engineering records to keep fleet data up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in the oil & gas or power generation service industry (more experience may qualify for senior level).
• Fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery theory and standard repair principles.
• Familiarity with machining and mechanical operations, including ASME and API standards.
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer‑sponsored visa.
