About the role
King & Ruiz LLP is seeking a full-time Paralegal & Office Manager to join its busy litigation practice in Miami. The dual-function role combines substantive paralegal support on complex commercial disputes with the administrative oversight of the firm’s daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide paralegal support across active litigation matters, including drafting pleadings, discovery responses and correspondence.
- Review case materials for accuracy and completeness and conduct legal research using online databases.
- Manage e-filing in Florida state and federal courts and maintain electronic filing systems.
- Oversee office administration: calendar and deadline management, vendor coordination, and general operational oversight.
- Maintain and update legal practice management software and ensure proper document management.
Required profile
- Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in a boutique or trial-focused firm.
- Familiarity with Florida state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attorneys, clients, courts and vendors.
- High level of organization, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Notary Public commission or willingness to obtain one; Portuguese fluency is a plus.
