Outside Sales Representative – Diesel Engine & Power Generation

About the role

This position is an Outside Sales Representative role for a leading provider of diesel engine, turbocharger and filtration equipment services. The successful candidate will drive growth and revenue in the marine and power generation markets across the Northeast or Midwest United States.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and close business opportunities in the marine and power generation sectors.
• Expand the client base through consultative selling and early positioning.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, evaluate inquiries and register opportunities.
• Deliver technical sales presentations and demonstrations.
• Participate in industry trade shows and conferences to represent the company.
• Manage customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and address feedback.

Required profile

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven success in outside sales with a strong track record of capturing opportunities.
• Experience in marine and/or power generation markets.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50‑60%.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Woodward products.
• Background in controls and automation.
