Maintenance Technician – Abrazo at Rice Hope

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday with an on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly for proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep, such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, cleaning, and painting.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in all weather conditions.
• Capability to lift 25 lb independently and 50 lb with assistance.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on call.
• Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where required.

Required skills

• EPA Type I, Type II, or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
• Basic mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
