iOS Software Engineer – Aviation AI Startup

About the role

We are looking for an iOS Software Engineer to join a fast‑growing aviation AI startup that supplies mission‑critical applications to the Department of Defense and major airlines. Based in San Carlos, you will help build mobile tools that directly support pilots and improve flight safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high‑performance iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI and modern mobile frameworks.
• Implement real‑time data visualisation and sensor feeds for cockpit use.
• Integrate internal and external APIs to deliver flight‑critical information.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, product designers and cross‑functional teams to create intuitive, safety‑focused user experiences.
• Maintain code quality, perform code reviews, and ensure compliance with export‑control regulations.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen or Green Card holder) and ability to work on‑site in San Carlos.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and comfort with asynchronous programming.

Required skills

• Swift and SwiftUI.
• UIKit and multithreading concepts (GCD, async/await).
• Experience with API integration and real‑time data handling.
• Understanding of iOS performance optimisation.
