Chief Financial Officer – FinTech SaaS

About the role

The company is a confidential, sponsor‑backed FinTech SaaS business building a finance function from the ground up. As the first in‑house finance leader, you will report directly to the CEO and partner with the leadership team to drive financial strategy, FP&A, cash management and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Own financial modeling, forecasting and the annual budgeting process, translating analysis into actionable recommendations on growth, pricing and resource allocation.
• Establish a rolling 13‑week cash forecast, manage burn, liquidity and spending while improving monthly financial processes and controllership.
• Build repeatable weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, including board decks and KPI dashboards, and evaluate finance system improvements.
• Oversee the outsourced accounting relationship, ensure accurate accrual‑based reporting, and help build an effective finance team over time.
• Support payroll, benefits, compensation planning, recruiting operations and board/ investor relations.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including CFO or senior finance roles in a lean environment.
• Strong FP&A, cash forecasting and financial modeling experience in a SaaS or subscription‑based business.
• Demonstrated ability to build or improve finance processes, reporting, controls and systems.
• Experience collaborating with executive leadership and communicating financial analysis clearly.
• Preferred experience in FinTech, mortgage technology or private‑equity portfolio companies.
