Business Development Representative

About the role

UKG, a workforce operating platform used by tens of millions of workers, is hiring a Business Development Representative. The role works closely with Field Sales teams to identify and create new business opportunities. It is a hybrid, office-based position offering flexibility within a dynamic and supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Craft and prioritise target account lists within your territory, working with field sales executives and management
• Generate revenue through outbound calling and lead generation
• Showcase UKG products and solutions to prospects and move them through the sales cycle
• Partner with field sales to promote UKG's products, programs and services
• Use probing skills to expand contacts and uncover new product needs
• Hit outbound call and email metrics, increase live conversations and drive results
• Provide high-quality lead information to field sales to accelerate account progression and pipeline growth

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in a BDR, SDR, sales, prospecting or customer-facing role
• Motivated, self-starter with a passion for business development, prospecting, sales and/or marketing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Sales, or any degree with 6+ months of relevant experience; enthusiasm for tech sales, especially HCM or Workforce Management

Required skills

• Preferred: familiarity or certification in a common sales methodology (e.g. MEDDPIC, Sandler, Holden, AAISP)
• Preferred: proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com
